AMS_NOT_INSTALLED HSM vCenter 7.0.2 (DL 380 Gen 9)

Hi,

I Installed 3 DL 380 Gen9 Server with ESXi 7.0.2 and deployed a vCenter 7 and ILO Amplifier 1.90. I tried to Integrated the HSM from the iLO Amplifier, but I got the Message " AMS_NOT_INSTALLED " within the iLO Configuration in the vCenter. I know that I need the AMS Installed on the ESXi Hosts. Therefore I tried several versions of the AMS Package but I got these messages every time.

At the moment I have these package installed on the hosts.

amshelprComponent Agentless Management Service for Gen9 701.11.7.0.14-1 701.11.7.0.14-1 HPE 01-24-2021 VMwareAccepted

I also checked that the service is up and running.

amshelpr-ahslogger is running 1622655477 1
amshelpr-amshelpr is running 1622655476 1

The amshelpr.log shows the following:

I searched for a different package in the support center but I don't find one.

Hello,

I would suggest you follow the below steps.

Please ensure ILO firmware version is on the latest version i.e. 2.31
Once confirmed, then try to remove the AMS Agent from the server and install the latest one
To remove the hp-ams package from an ESXi host:
Move the ESXi host in to maintenance mode.
Log in to the ESXi host as root.
Run this command to stop the HP Agentless Management Service: -
         # ./etc/init.d/amsd stop

Then uninstall AMD service from VMware ESXI 7.0 using following steps:-
esxcli software component remove -n {componentName}
# 7.0 AMS componentName is "amsdComponent".
      Reboot the server
Then install the AMS service using following link: -
      https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_e20c80766475417abf9e897c2f#tab-history

Then restart the host and check if you are still getting the issue

If yes, log a case with HPE with Latest AHS logs and vm-support logs

I would suggest, you have to log a proper case with HPE, and share the appropriate logs for further analysis.

Thats not working the amsdcomponent is only for Gen10 Servers.

I tried different Versions from the Support Center but every time i got the same result.

esxcli software component list:

amsdComponent Agentless Management Component for Gen 10 700.11.6.0-24 700.11.6.0-24 Hewlett Packard Enterprise 09-07-2020 PartnerSupported
amshelprComponent Agentless Management Service for Gen9 701.11.7.0.14-1 701.11.7.0.14-1 HPE 01-24-2021 VMwareAccepted

amsd.log:

2021-06-07T10:17:55Z amsd[2100974]: gen10 smad: Server not supported.
2021-06-07T10:18:05Z amsd[2101820]: gen10 amsd ver 700.11.6.0.17-1OEM.700.1.0.15843807: Server not supported.
2021-06-07T10:18:16Z amsd[2102458]: gen10 ahsd: Server not supported.
2021-06-07T10:18:26Z amsd[2102773]: gen10 smarev: Server not supported.

I don't think that HPE will help because the servers are out of support.

Hello,

HPE will support you, if the server out of support.

I would suggest, you have to log a proper case with HPE, and share the appropriate logs for further analysis.
