ARRAY SETUP

I lost my contrller card (5300) and have to replace this, would this wipe raid setting / data on my hard drives?

no. the RAID configuration is also embedded on the drives. When you repalce the controller, it will automatcailly see the old RAID settings and keep them, and your data should be OK. You should also swap out the battery backed write cache memory module from the old board to the new one to make sure there any data in the battery backed cache gets written to disk.
