ASR in bios?

I have a client with two DL360G1's who swears that his servers should auto boot following a power failure (upon detection of power). These units were connected through an interface expander to a APC SmartUPS. APC support claims that some systems can be set to do this in bios.

Does this assertion hold true. Is there a matrix showing what systems/bios versions support this? Aside from rebooting the server, how can I ascertain what BIOS is in use (Win2000 SP4, another is NT4 SP6).
