ATA controller and boot problems

Hardware configuration:
1) Proliant ML330 G2 with ATA RAID controller
2) Two 40Gb ATA-100 HD each connected as master on two ports of the ATA RAID controller
3) One CD-RW connected as master on the primary onboard IDE controller
4) One CD-R connected as slave on the primary onboard controller

Sofware:
Redhat Linux 7.3

Problems:
1) The GRUB bootloader cannot boot the server. I only see the letters 'GRUB' on the text screen and everything stops. I have to boot with a boot floppy...

2) The onboard IDE controller (and hence my CD-RW and CD-R) does not function properly. On bootup, the following message is displayed:

PCI: Probing PCI hardware
PCI: Device 00:00 not found by BIOS
PCI: Device 00:01 not found by BIOS
PCI: Device 00:78 not found by BIOS
PCI: Device 00:7b not found by BIOS

and then

SvrWks CSB5: IDE controller on PCI bus 00 dev 79
PCI: Device 00:0f.1 not available because of resource collisions
SvrWks CSB5: (ide_setup_pci_device:) Could not enable device.

Everything seems to be IDE related. Can the RAID feature be completely desactivated ?

Thanks
