About ML110 Gen9 upgrade Power Supply to 750W RPS
I have upgrade my ML110 Gen9 from 350W power supply to 750w RPS unit.
After I connect all the cable refer by the service manual. The system boot-up, OS ESXi working file. iLO4 could find two power supply. Only problem is not provide power meter function ?
Does it request change some parameter like server model ID ?
I update the BIOS to 2.80 , iLO4 2.77 . Use spp 2020.09 update all item when it need. still have this problem
The power supply hardware model I checked, same as the quickspec document request.
I see some post if ml110 gen9 power meter worked , the PCM fw should be 1.0.9, but my is 3.3(look like Gen8 power capping microcontroller fw version). I try update it from my ML110 Win2012 server OS, it failed, say not contain hardware it request.
Does the old HP model ML110 Gen9 server RPS power supply FW use Gen8 code and it change in later?
How could I update my RPS power supply with power meter reading function?
I try reset iLO config in webpage and hardware pin. reload factory setting for BIOS. still same issue.

Re: About ML110 Gen9 upgrade Power Supply to 750W RPS
FWIW, according to the help text for the Power Meter page:
Prerequisites
The server power supplies and the system BIOS support power readings. If power readings are not supported, this page displays the following message: The Power Manager is unavailable for this configuration.
A license that supports this feature is installed. For information about the available license types and the features they support, see the licensing documentation at the following website: http://www.hpe.com/info/ilo.
You can obtain an iLO Advanced trial license (to see if that helps) from here:

Re: About ML110 Gen9 upgrade Power Supply to 750W RPS
Hi,
Thank you for the post.
May we please know if you have the RPS Enablement Kit installed.
NOTE: The first 750W CS Gold Ht Plg Pwr Supply Kit requires the RPS Enablement Kit.
NOTE: The RPS Enablement kit will support two power supplies
Thank you
