Add Drive to ML350 RAID 5

Our client has a server which has 3 hot plug dirves configured as RAID 5. The ARRAY controller is a SMART ARRAY 641.

Can you add another single disk and have it recognized as an additional physical disk? (There is space for 3 more)

The goal is to move some log files to a seperate physical disk to increase performance.

Can this be done in their server?

Yes, you can. Just create RAID-0 array with new SCSI drive.
