Add drive to logical drive 2HD or 3200.

Hi, you can forget my previus question, it is posible to add a disk to the array with a 2HD and a 3200.

1) Can I add a drive to a logical disk with a 2HD controler ?

2) Can I add a drive to a logical disk with a 3200 controler ?

3) And how to go after this with Novell 4.11 ?

Hello,
Yes you can do the following. But make sure you have the latest System BIOS and the firmware version of the Array controllers.
1) SA3200 SUPPORTS LOGICAL DRIVE OR ARRAY EXPANSION
2) SA SMART 2DH SUPPORTS ARRAY EXPANSION ONLY AND DOES NOT SUPPORT LOGICAL DRIVE EXP.
3) WHEN YOU INSTALL A NEW DRIVE, PLEASE RUN CPQONLIN FROM THE COMMAND PROMPT AND YOU WILL SEE THE OPTIONS ABOUT YOUR ARRAY.
