Add second mirror to ML370 G3
I have an ML370 G3 with a SmartArray 532 controller, 2 36 GB/10K RPM drives in a mirror. This server runs Exchange so it can't have much downtime.
I just need to add a second mirror which can be on another logical partition. I'm going to move the Exchange databases to the second partition (probably 72 or 146GB drives) which can be on D:/.
Do I need a second array controller for the other drives?

Re: Add second mirror to ML370 G3
Hello,
no, you don't need a second controller. Plugin the disks and start the ACU, the Array Configuration Utility. Create a new array with the two new disks, and after that, create a new logical drive with the desired RAID level.
That all can be done online.
Kind regards,
Patrick
