Added memory to a Proliant ML570 G4 Server
Have been trying to add an additional board to our ML570 G4 server.
I purchased a new board to add, added the exact same RAM that is on the orginal board in the server.
When I lock the new board in, I receive a beeping with all amber lights on the DIMM 1-6 area.
Could this be a defective board, its new?
P.S. This thread has been moved from Servers-General to ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL). -HP Forum Moderator

Re: Added memory to a Proliant ML570 G4 Server
Hi,
It could be a bad memory board or system board or even a bios issue.
First try to swap the memory boards just to make sure the system board slot is good.
Then update the BIOS and test.
Good Luck
Thank You!
