Adding Existing Volumes to an Array

DL380 G2
Netware 6.5 sp7 edir8.8

If I place a drive that has an existing volume in a new server and then add it to the array using ACU will the data on the drive be wiped?

I had a server crash and am trying to recover quickly.

Thanks

Re: Adding Existing Volumes to an Array

Hello Dave,
If the new server has the same configuration; & Raid settings, the Data should be available.
This is due to a feature called "Drive Roaming".

Re: Adding Existing Volumes to an Array

Actually, its the same box....I just rebuilt the SYS volume....the drive failed. So once the new server is up, if I place the data volume drives back into the server, and add them to the array (expand array) your saying my data will be intact? Do I need to make them logical drives? If I don't will the show as unused space? So many question I know....just don't want to screw up.

Thanks
