Adding HDDs

Can I add 2 additional 9.1Gb UW SCSI disks to the existing 5 disk configuration on the fly, or do I have to create NEW contiguous filespace and restore back to this?

that depends on which array controller you are using..some support extension through the array configuration utility..some dont...
