Adding Harddrives to DL380G2 w/Win2000

I need to expand the storage on my DL380G2. Does anyone have reference links or recommendations on what I need to do to make this work?

Server OS is windows 2000 SP4.

Thanks,
Matthew

Hi Matthew,

Your server has a SA 5i raid, and AFAIK, it supports RAID expainsion. So, ones you put new HDD in, use ACU or SS CD for expanding your raid volume. make sure you have updated firmware, BIOS, and PSP for your sevrer.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if there are any step-by-step or How-To reference libraries for ProLiant servers? Thanks again for your help.

I have a ML370 and I was curious to the same thing. I just bought two more SCSI drives and have 6 existing configured with Raid 5. I was also looking for a step by step guide. I have been looking over the documentation and so far no joy. Anybody have any suggestions?

The user guide for the Array Configuration Utility has information and a basic walk through of this. It's too large to attach to this, but the URL is:
http://search.hp.com/redirect.html?type=REG&qt=239449-006&url=http%3A//h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00139862/c00139862.pdf&pos=1

Look on pages 33-35.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..
