Adding new hardisk to existing RAID

I have a ML370 with 3x9.2GB hardisk and configured using RAID 5 and running on Windows 2000. Now I want to add another 2x18.2GB hardisk. I need to fully optimized this 2 hardisk. I know if I were to add it into the existing RAID 5, I can only use 9.2GB out of the 18.2. How should I go about to fully optimized the 36GB and would there be any RAID? I need to know the step by step configuration. Thanks

Re: Adding new hardisk to existing RAID

Hello,
Please update the System BIOS and the dirmware of the Array controller you have in the system. Make a full backup of your data. Once you are done the above steps then run Array Configuration Utility and depending upon the array controller you have you should be able to configure the drives. Please contact our Technical Support Team by calling 1-800-652-6672.

Regards,
