Adding video card to proliant 7000

Hi

This might be a stupid question, but is there some way of adding a third party video graphics card to a proliant 7000 server ?

I've tried this and plugged the monitor into the card, and it displays on screen until the OS is supposed to boot.

I then get an error message saying ...No os found .. etc.

When I remove the card and plug the monitor back into the onboard card, it boots !!!

Is this wierd or what ?

ANY ANY ANY help will be appreciated !!!

Thanks

Please remove the card and go into the F10 partition. Go to Add/Remove boards and make sure you add in all the proper info. What slot number, etc. Save and exit and shut down. On the system board look for a set a 6 switches. Turn number 1 off. This is for the on-board video. Install your 3rd party card and boot up. Also make sure the BIOS is up to the latest. No promises that this will work.
