Hello,
is it possible to add an USB2 controller to a ML350 G3 server ? Additional question: the 32bit PCI slot is used by a network card, so only 64 bits slots are available.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Xavier

Solution
HP everything is possible ^^
PCI is downwards compatible, but the bus will also be slower! so proof in which busses are infected by the PCI Slots
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pci
think on the ML350G03 there should be 2 PCI-X Busses. On the Led next to the PCI-X Slot u can see the performance Mode
Off = PCI 33 MHz/PCI-X 66 MHz operating mode
On = PCI 66 MHz/PCI-X 100 MHz operating mode
Look in the Service and Maintenance Guide for further details.
BTW: hp doesn't garantuee that 3rd Party HW works
Cheers

Re: Additionnal USB2 controller for ML350 G3 ?
OK, thanks for the information, I'll dig further in that direction.
