Alarm functions in Proliant server`s ML350 and ML370
In this 2 models ML350 and ML370 G4, is there any alarm functions on the raid?
If one of the disc`s in the raid setup starts to malfunction is there any alarm? If so is the setup for this in the bios or in an program on windows?
I would like to setup this so if any failur is detected on any of the drives in the raid setup, a mail or some other message is sent to a user.
Can anyone help me with this?

A Management tool like SIM is needed to achieve this.

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/24184.html
You need to configure this service
(Start->Programs -> HP management agents ->Event Notifier config)
If you have many Proliant servers consider HP insight manager implementation

With the tool Insight Event Notifier , do i have the possibility that it can send messages or e-mail to persons in the company? of a harddrive error?
Where can i find some more information about just the Insight Event Notifier tool.

Yes.
I never used Event Notifier (we use HP SIM tool), but AFAIK answer is Yes

Event Notifier is old Compaq tool and not updated many years. I don't know where you can find more information. I attached Event Notifier help file (you have it on your server as well if you installed Proliant support pack).

Re: Alarm functions in Proliant server`s ML350 and ML370
If you have a system in your network that is capable of catching SNMP traps, any change in HDD state (like a failed disk) will generate an SNMP trap as well.
