Re: All Amber
What happens when you try it with only 2 dimms? Does the server start up?
Any chance you can try the dimms 2 by 2 to see if there is an issue with just one dimm pair?
Make sure you set the 2 in bank A and not just in slot one and two

The difference between ordinary and extraordinary, is that little extra.

Re: All Amber
Thank you for the quick reply. When the server died I switched to our spare. I also removed the dimms from the failed server 4x2gb and installed them in the spare; it is runnning just fine. I tried using the dimms from the spare 4x1bg and they where working before I switched to the spare. I have now tried various combinations of the 4x1gb and all the amber light keep coming on. Needless to say we are puchasing another spare. This is so nerve racking!
