All FBDIMM LEDs Lit on ML370 G5 Systems Insight Display

I have a ML370 G5 that, out of the blue, started beeping. When I got to the server, the health status indicator light was red, and all of the FBDIMM LEDs on the Systems Insight Display were solid Amber. The server will not boot. On my first attempt to start it back up, all display lights went back to green but the boot stopped (froze) at initializing the disks. I powered it off and tried starting it again but this time it went back to displaying a red health indicator light, and all FBDIMM LEDs were amber as well as the slow constant (long?) beep. I do NOT have all of the banks of memory filled, and the server has been fine for the three weeks since it has be set up. I will probably try taking out some of the memory tomorrow. Does anyone know what it mean when all FBDIMM LEDs are Amber? Any suggestions on what I should do going forward? Attached is a picture of the systems insight display.

Re: All FBDIMM LEDs Lit on ML370 G5 Systems Insight Display

I have had a "kind of a similar" issue some years ago.

A def DIMM lit failure LED at socket2, when the bad DIMM was in socket 1 ,2 or 4.
When it was installed in socket 3 it lit LED 1,2 and 4 :)

So yes, try to remove some of the DIMM's

Suggetion:
Remove half of the DIMM's. If problem still there swap the other half.
If problem still there, it might be the system i/o bd.

cheers
