Always failed when upgrading ESXi 5.1u1 through old iLO 2 console ?

Hi People,

Does HP iLO version 2 got any issue with attaching custom .ISO file to boot the VMware ESXi 5.1update 1 installer ?

because in some of my HP DL 380 G6 and G5 servers, they are all consistently failed with the following error code:

Disk Error 80, AX = 4269, drive 9F

This is locally created .ISO on my computer C:\temp folder, using Internet Explorer, I connected to the iLO v2 console, both integrated and Java applet version still not giving successful result. The link latency between my local PC and the servers are LAN 100 MBps within the same building.

Any idea as to why it cause any issue like the above ?

Try using another image and check if the issue is resolved.

Download HP SmartStart ISO image or HP SPP ISO image and check with it.
