Arcserve IT error
I have a customer with a Proliant 400, running Netware 5.0 (latest SP) and Arcserve IT (6.6) single server. It recently had hard drive troubles and this was replaced (under hardware warranty) and the O/S rebuilt.
Since then the backup always fails with an Arcserve error 6039 ('Power on reset occurred'). Compaq have replaced the DAT drive (4/8Gb), the feature board and SCSI cable but to no avail.
The server has all the latest Compaq updates (NSSD, Rompaq, etc). Netware also has the latest Support Pack installed, and Arcserve SP4 is also applied.
The hardware diagnostics pass on the DAT drive, as it only fails when well into a full backup (the diags only test for a short time).
The only thing I can think of is that the replacement hard drive is faulty, but there are no errors coming from it.
Any advice gratefully recevied.
