Array 5i controller available cache memory
On a Proliant DL380 server, we have a Smart Array 5i Controller on system board.
Information on a boot server indicates to us 64Mo memory available.
The ACU shows us only 48 Mo of memory available.
For what are used the 16 remaining Mo.
thank you for your response.

Re: Array 5i controller available cache memory
Hi!
The remaining memory is for internal operation inside the Smart Array 5i.
Some SA take 8MB of memory and some take more.

Re: Array 5i controller available cache memory
The 5i cache is split up into registers and data memory. 16MB of RAM is used for code and transfer buffers.
You likely see 2 x 24MB. two channels at 24Mb each.
