Array Configuration Utility No Longer Starts
We have two ML350 servers. One is a G3 model and the other is a G4 model. Both running Small Business Server 2003 Professional. The HP Array Configuration Utility is configured to run in Local Application Mode and use to work fine.
Now after applying the HP Proliant Support Pack v8.15 and the HP Firmware Maintenance CD v8.20 the HP Array Configuration Utility will not even start? You click on the new HP Array Configuration Utility icon and the egg timer appears for a split second and then disappears. That’s it! There are no events logged in the Application or System logs. Even clicking on the new Setup HP Array Configuration icon to try and toggle between Application Mode or Remote Service mode, nothing happens. Same thing the really... The egg timer appears for a split second then disappears. No events logged?
The HP Systems Management Homepage still opens up as usual and works fine on both systems. Both servers are using a Smart Array 641 Controller.
Have tried this same Support Pack and Firmware Maintenance CD upgrade on another ML350 and the new Array Configuration Utility worked fine afterwards. The only difference we can spot is the ML350 is a G5 model and is running Small Business System 2003 R2 Standard.
Any ideas welcome.
Thanks Mike
