Array Configuration Utility on DL 580 G2

I have tried to remove the ACU and reinstall, set it to remote mode and nothing seems to help. It does not show up in the main systems home page navigation bar on the left, and if I try to go directly to the ACU page, I get a 404 not found error. The systems management homepage shows that the array has an error condition but I can't do anything with it as it is just a status display.

I have scoured the forums and google and cannot figure out why this will not work. Any suggestions? I am having an issue with an array that I need to reconfigure and I am not able to do so.

IE or Mozilla/Firefox?
Do you have proxy server settings in IE?
Which operation system?

Anyway, you can try to use old, not web-based, version of ACU as well

Hi,

It's probably more important that you find out what's wrong with your disks or controller so load the Win32 application based ACU and ADU programs which should run OK. You can sort out the Gui based issues after this.

It is running W2K3 server so the older version of the ACU won't install. I have tried both IE and FF and neither work.

I know what is the wrong with the disc in quesion (it a RAID-0 array that is missing a drive) and it isn't critical at the moment, but I would like to get he ACU going before it gets to that state due an issue with one of the other arrays.

Any other ideas? Is there a version of the older ACU that will run on W2K3?

Hi,

It won't install only because 2003 isn't included in the setup.

Choose "Extract" rather than "Install" when the popup screen appears. Extract the files to a convenient folder (C:\ACU) for example and then run the CPQACU.EXE file.

I've just tried in XP (completely unsupported) and it works OK.

Thanks, that did the trick by running it after extracting.

Extracting and running the older win32 version manually gave me the ability to clean up the array.
