Array Controller 6i on DL385

I'm using the on-board controller in a DL385 (SA 6i). We're running Virtual Server and while analyzing performance data I figured I would check the cache settings on the controller in the ACU. When I look at the Cache Ratio settings there's only 1 option -- 100% Read, 0% Write. Is this correct or is there a fix for this? I would like to adjust the cache ratio for more write intensive applications like MS Virtual Server.

Steve:

I believe you need to Battery Backed Write Cache Enabler in order to set the Write Cache %.

OK. We're talking about upgrading to the SA 6404. I would imagine that would help us out as well right?

I believe the 6400 series comes with Write Cache enabled, but you can also buy Battery Backed Cache Upgrade kits for more Cache memory.
