Array Controller P410i issue
Hi there,
i'm getting below array controller p410i error (cmd=0h, err=00h, dlu-013:4h) with the 512 BBWC cache
on a Proliant DL360 G7, upgrading p410i firmware to 6.0B didnt help, note the error appeared
upon this upgrade, initial error prior to upgrade was (cmd=11h, err=020h)
any help would be much appreciated
AJ

Re: Array Controller P410i issue
Hi,
The error (cmd=11h, err=020h) occurs due to configuration issues or cabling or firmware or hardware issues.
You may try the following:
Remove/Disconnect BBWC and see if the error disappears.
Try the controller in a different slot or different server itself.
Try swapping the cables.
Good Luck

Re: Array Controller P410i issue
Thanks Suman,
already did this previously...
without BBWC no error message
with BBWC and P410i firmware 3.2, i'm getting the error (cmd=11h, err=020h)
with BBWC and upon upgrade to P410i firmware 6.0B, i'm getting the error (cmd=0h, err=00h, dlu=013:4h)
so what about the error (cmd=0h, err=00h, dlu=013:4h)?
same BBWC worked with a different DL360 G7 server after P410i firmware upgrade to 6.0B
any comments, ideas?
Cheers

Re: Array Controller P410i issue
Hi,
Did you try another BBWC with this P410i?
Some workarounds:
1. Disconnect the sas/sata data cable from the controller and post the server.
If the error does not occur, then the fault is either cable(s), backplane(s) or disk(s). Isolate one item at a time until the faulty assembly is identified.
2. Reconnect the cable(s)
3. Remove all disks from the backplane by unplugging, but not fully removing from the disk slots.
4. Power up the server, if the failure still occurs, isolate the cable(s) and backplane(s).

Thank You!
