I'm running the Compaq Array utility version 2.90 on a Compaq DL 380 with a 5i controller. I've used the array utility to expand my array, now my drive is showing up as unused space. It had (1) existing drive in it and I'm adding the second one to mirror them. What should the next steps be:

Re: Array Expansion
Generally say you running migration from RAID 0 to RAID0+1
If you looking to add more Space to your Logical drive you have to create another array or add unused space to existing logical drive
Here is some info, GUI might be different, rules still same

I think what you have done is "expanded" the array in RAID0. What you really wanted to do was to convert your RAID0 to RAID1.
If this is the case then I'm not sure that you can get round it without a rebuild.
