Array ready for rebuild
Hi,
I have a HP Proliant DL380 G4, HP Smart Array 6i Controller firmware version 2.80 which recently had a failing HD in slot 0, RAID 1+0. I replaced the drive and now the synchronization will not take place. The HP configuration utility reads ready for rebuild but no rebuild is taking place. Do you know what may be preventing the Synch to take place?
Also I see in the system event log after the HD was replaced that:
The following error has been reported in event viewer.
Recovery of logical drive 1,configured on Array Controller (embedded) was aborted while rebuilding physical drive with DEVICE ID 0 on port 2 due to an unrecoverable read error. The physical drive reporting the error is DEVICE ID 1 on port 2
I attached HD diagnostics utility as well.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Array ready for rebuild
Hi Sam,
For logical drive 1, I can see that the two hard drives are of a different model and have different firmware revisions. This can sometimes prevent the logical drive from rebuilding. I would recommed you try and upgrade the atleast the firmware of the drivers. This might help.
SCSI Port 2, Drive ID 0

SCSI Port 2, Drive ID 1
