Array waiting for Rebuild
Hi friends,
I have HP DL380G3 server has ULTRA SCSI 146.8 GB*6 HDD configered with RAID 5. My server is intermittent hang so i have checked IML & ADU log in which i found bay 3HDD showing Hardware Error, I have replaced that HDD & Kept it rebuilding, But it stuck on one percentage. In ACU information it show "Array Waiting For Rebuild"
Kindly Suggest what I do?
Thanks & Regard,
Pradip

Re: Array waiting for Rebuild
hmm restart server if it does the same remove the cache battery
it is maybe choking on corrupt data
when you remove the battery if you have one it will ask if you want to accept data loss just say yes as it is referring to the bit of data in the battery, which will rebuild from the disks anyway,
by the way 1 gig takes about 15 mins to rebuild, if server is not used , :
you can go into raid config utility and set rebuild time to high priority, but only do this when server is not in production,,or users will complain all is too slow..
This is how we thank each other in the forum
when we help each other ..
