Auto-rebuild problem after replacing failed drive on ML310 G1

We've a ML310 (First Generation) with 4 SATA HD(Ultra ATA 100 Dual channel).
These HD are configured with 2 RAID1.

I wanted to check/simulate auto-rebuild process by removing one HD. I've shutdown server, remove one HD drive, reboot the server and observe that O.S. correctly detect HD failure.

After shutting down the server, I've added a new HD, reboot the server and defined this one as spare in Integrated ATA RAID configuration Utility (F8 key).

When I try to rebuild the array, I've the following message: Invalid source/target drive for building.
Important notice: this error only happens when there's a W2K3 operating system (I've not try with another O.S.). If a do the same operation without O.S., it
works.
Thank you in advance for help

It is possible the replacement hard drive is smaller than the one you took out even by small margin.

I have seen this error where before and check the actual size in Megaraid utility (F8).
