B110i - Array not rebuilding - Code 776 (Ready for Recovery) is queued for rebuilding.
hello
'ive replaced 1 Hdd in Raid 1 with controller B110i but the utility (from windows) is blocked on "Code 776 (Ready for Recovery) is queued for rebuilding."
The original (last) disk is a : ATA ST500DM002-1BD14
I've put, as second disk a Seagate MB0500EBZQA
In B110i log i see some error:
Drive Model ATA ST500DM002-1BD14
Drive Serial Number Z6EGQXK3
Drive Firmware Revision KC48
SCSI Inquiry Bits 0x00
Compaq Drive Stamped Stamped For Monitoring (0x01)
Last Failure Reason Mark Bad Failed (0x05)
What's "Mark Bad Failed (0x05)" ??
Thank You to All

Did you reboot the server?
This controller cannot detect hot swap without a license, IIRC.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Yess, Rebooted more time.
In other forum speak about this controller : they say that accept only HP "branded" disk.
I not understand that "Mark Bad Failed (0x05)"

Re: B110i - Array not rebuilding - Code 776 (Ready for Recovery) is queued for rebuilding.
Do you see a message prompting for press F1 or F2 during boot?
from user guide:
If you are replacing a drive in a fault-tolerant configuration while the system is powered down, a POST
message appears when the system is powered up. When this message appears, press the F1 key to
enable automatic data recovery. If you do not enable automatic data recovery, the logical volume
remains in a ready-to-recover condition, and the same POST message appears when the system is
restarted.
This would look like this:
HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller (v1.10) 2 Logical Drives
786-Slot 0 Drive Array Recovery Needed
The following disk drive(s) need Automatic Data Recovery (Rebuild):
Port 1I: Box 1: Bay 1
Select "F1" to continue with recovery of data to drive(s)
Select "F2" to continue without recovery of data to drive(s)
(RESUME = "F1" OR "F2" KEY)
press F1 now!
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
