BIOS Upgrade - 80 servers
We have 80+ HP/Compaq servers, G1-4, of DL 360, 380, 570 and 760, plus ML 370-570.
I have been requested to prepare a project proposal "Normalize the BIOS revisions on all DL/ML infrastructure servers".
Research to date indicates that everything from Diskette to Open view is possible.
Question: If I use the VC Agent in conjunction with VC Repository and HP Insight Manager, will all hardware components including: HD, Controllers, Video, ETC be updated? What are the limitations if any?
Sincerely,
Darrell Christensen

Re: BIOS Upgrade - 80 servers
I would recommend posting this issue on the HP Insight Manager forum. Category: Management software & system tools - server mgmt (Insight Manager 7)
Note: There is a separate forum for the new Systems Insight Manager (SIM)

Re: BIOS Upgrade - 80 servers
HP Systems Insight Manager is the best method, how ever if you need to do it in a rush, you can use SETUPC utility.
In a single command line, you can update many servers.
