BIOS & SCSI / IDE compatibility

How can I get into the BIOS ? System boots straight to a:\ or Windows, Help please.
Also can anyone give advice on running a SCSI master with an IDE slave hard drive ?

Re: BIOS & SCSI / IDE compatibility

To get into the BIOS you need to select System Configuration after the F10 prompt, but if you don't have a system partition configured on that server you won't be able do much at the F10 prompt. Alternatively you can run System Configuration Utility (SC) by booting from the Smart Start DC or by down loading the SC, generating the diskettes and booting from them. You can't mix SCSI and IDE devices for master/slave configuration as the devices have to be on different controllers (SCSI and IDE) and actually a master/slave configuration is only applicable for IDE. For SCSI just make sure that you set the pins for unique SCSI ID's (ex. first SCSI device is 0, next is 1, etc.).
