BL p-class mix switch and patch interconnects?

Is it possible to mix and match switch and patch panel interconnects? I have one shelf with the Cisco GB interconnects and one shelf with the Patch Panel2. I am wondering if I can put the Cisco's in the left slot on both shelves and the Patch Panel2's in the right slot on both shelves?

Not possibly, reason signal backplane - one piece and B designed for redundancy for A
