If you use Windows, this should be on the Home Page of Insight Manager under system info of System Board info.
Each Product ID determines CPU type, memory and etc.

If you know the system serial number you can find the Product ID from the following HP Warranty Entitelment web site.
http://h50001.www5.hp.com/ewc/EntResultRouter
Enter your country, entitlement option (Select ALL) and enter the serial number.
Then click the "Get Entitlement" button at the bottom.
You should get a result back which includes your correct Product ID.
