Can someone tell me how to use the serial or network diag. cable to connect with a laptop via hyperterminal in win2k to one of these BL20p blades???

Solution
Look in the MSG. It's documented in there.
I presuming you want to connect to iLO from a laptop? Connect the dongle that came with the blades to the port on the front of the blade. Connect a network cable from the dongle to your notebook. Now you are directly connect to iLO on ipaddress 192.168.1.1. Your notebook needs to be on the same 192.168 network.
If you want to connect to the diagnostic port on the back of the blade enclosure - that is different. you need a crossover cable. one comes with the unit. connect up to it and run hyperterminal with 9600-8-n-1 and use vt100 emulation.
There is also an iLO user's guide w/instructions on using iLO.
The back port on the blade enclosure is NOT iLO.
