Re: BL20p G2 does not boot

Some more infos i forgot:

- The Rilo is reachable and got Firmware 1.62.

- Virtual Power Button doesn't turn up the Blade.

- There are 7 more Blades in that Enclosure (which are booting).

- changeing Bay doesn't take any effect.

Thanks

Re: BL20p G2 does not boot

Hi

We had similar problem with the virtual power and this was solved by upgrading to a new firmware.

Hope this helps

Re: BL20p G2 does not boot

Hi,

This doesn't seems replated to RILO.
IT seems to be
Serve blade degraded, or power-up prohibited by IA Module.

Do the following:
Remove the server blade from the enclosure.
With the system powered down, remove the access panel.
Visually inspect the system for damage.
Reseat or replace processors and/or DIMMs.
Verify the proper connections between the power converter module, system board, SCSI backplane, and power button/LED board.
Reinstall the access panel.
Reinstall and power up the server blade.
If the health LED is still not solid green, do one of the following:
Use the optional diagnostic station to power the server blade.
Then use the iLO remote console to continue your diagnosis.

OR

Use the System Maintenance Switch (SW4)
Switch 6 = ON
IMPORTANT: When the server blade boots after NVRAM is cleared, a delay of up to 2 minutes is normal. During this delay, the system appears non-functional. Do not attempt any procedures during the delay.

Re: BL20p G2 does not boot

Thanks for your replys,

we now got the solution.

It was like "Prashant Sharma" posted.

The tips you gave didn't work.
Neither the SW4 Switch6=ON.

The Hardware was degraded and an HP-technican replaced the Systemboard.

Now the Blade is doing fine (for the time being).

Tanks a lot.
