BL25p Health Light Amber??

Hi,
I recently noticed that on one of my blades that there was an Amber light. So I looked it up on HP site and it is the Health light, and it means degrading condition. Does anyone know what I might do to fix this issue? Would I have to call HP?

Thanks.

Hi,

Try looking at the System Management Homepage on the blade.
Should be on the Start Menu if Windows, or navigate to https://127.0.0.1:2381

Also the HP IML should tell you what is wrong (if Windows, then it'll be in HP System Tools on the Start Menu)

Thank you for your reply.

This actually has VMware ESX 3.0.2 on it. So I am not sure if there is something different I would have to do for that?

Thanks.

Re: BL25p Health Light Amber??

There are HP Tools that can be put on ESX servers. I believe the latest version is of the Management Agents is 7.91 which can be found here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3191210&prodNameId=3288168&swEnvOID=2077&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-3ce69a09e0f54ee6b5a95a279f

I would also check your NIC connections are both (assuming you are using both) working. Also that both Redundant Power supplies are OK and after that start investigating the Raid Array - the Agents mentioned above will make all of this easier.
