Do anyone have a procedure on how to setup the BL30 for Windows 2003 Clustering that is attached to SAN (EMC)?
I will appreciate any help from you.

SolutionAre you looking for something specific or just a simple outline of what has to be done?...
1. install OS, WinServer2003 Enterprise
2. install SP1 if needed and any related security/OS patches or updates.
3. install fibre drivers
4. install multipath software as needed
5. present, at the minimum, a quorum devices to node 2. Quorum has to be at least 500MB to be used. If going with 500MB, specify 512 when you create the unit.
6. on the node, scna the drives, initialize it and format it. Give it a drive letter. "Q:" is common for the quorum, but can be anything.
7. shutdown node 2
8. present the quorum device to node 1 and scan for the drive. At the very least, all you should need to do is assign or re-assign the drive letter.
9. start the cluster administrator and "make a new cluster"
If you ned more detail, We/I can probably supply it.

Re: BL30 Windows 2003 Clustering Procedure
I don't think there is a specific technical paper, but these might help. You will have to substitute the HP EVA procedures with the appropriate ones for EMC

Re: BL30 Windows 2003 Clustering Procedure
If you need just specific details for part of this procedure, please let me know which part and I will reply.
If you just want general cluster installation procedure/tips, then it might take a little while. I used to have a write up, but unsure of where it resides.
