BL35p surface mount capacitor falling off
Anyone experiencing an issue with a surface mount capacitor falling off the mother board. This capacitor is next to memory slot 3 behind the fans, it sits under the plastic piece that funnels air to the back processor. I've had 4 mother board affected by this.

Re: BL35p surface mount capacitor falling off
I have not see that particular issue, but in my system we have over 70 of these blades deployed and they have a very high failure rate. In my case we call HP and swap the MB every time it happens, but over the past two years I think we have cycled through more than 100. I will have to see if the capacitor is loose on the next one that fails.

Re: BL35p surface mount capacitor falling off
Here is a picture of where the capacitor has been breaking off. The plastic air divertor sits on this capacitor.
