BSOD Blue Screen HP Proliant ML110 Windows server 2003

Hi all,

I am newbie in HP Proliant Troubleshooting and I am facing an issue with my windows server 2003 that I have to sort out by repairing the system with CD of windows server 2003. I can boot on the CD but it shows me blue screen BSOD error with error 0X000000007B when after it finishes to load file for installation. I read on differents forum that I have to disable IDE from BIOS but I can't even access in BIOS. I just have two options while starting the server F10 (ROM Based) and F12(PXE Boot). Can someone help me to sort out how I can get inside BIOS setup and disable that option IDE.

Best Regards,

Elbap

To be more clear about my issue, I don't see any way I can get access to BIOS settings and modify SATA Mode option. It seems the problem is related to that point.

What generation ML110 server are you working with?  Can you post of picture of the screen?  Was the server working fine and then failed?  If it was working and is now failed I doubt changing an IDE setting will fix things. I did a quick glance at google and most saying to change the ahci, ide setting are dealeing with virtual machines.

Dear Jimmy,

thank you for your message and your time.

Please find below in red details about your questions:

What generation ML110 server are you working with?

I am using HP Proliant ML110 G6

Can you post of picture of the screen?

Please find attached the screenshot at startup.

Was the server working fine and then failed?

Yes, the server was working fine and failed after power outage of the server. Now it fails to start Directory service on startup and the message I get is attached to this message.

I can access on data from the disk while booting with Ubuntu live CD.

If it was working and is now failed I doubt changing an IDE setting will fix things. I did a quick glance at google and most saying to change the ahci, ide setting are dealeing with virtual machines.

I don't have a solution for that as I can't even repair from Windows Server 2003 CD as it ends with BSOD message.

The only solution may be to install the OS from scratch and restore your data.  Sounds like when you lost power the disk got corrupted.
