BSOD on DL380 G6
Whenever I start one of my servers, a HP DL380 G6, I get a BSOD with the following message: "Hardware malfunction Call your hardware vendor for support The system has halted."
I disable Hyperthreading etc. in the BIOS, but I'm still getting the error. Please advise what steps can be taken to solve this.
AV installed on the server is Kaspersky.
Regards

Re: BSOD on DL380 G6
What happens if you try to boot it on "Safe Mode"?
What is your OS? When did the error start? have you made some hardware / software changes recently?
Have you tried booting with your smartstart CD and performing off-Line Diagnostics?
(Access the Offline edition of Insight Diagnostics by booting to a
SmartStart CD, clicking the 'Maintain Server' button, and then clicking the 'Diagnose Server' button.)

Re: BSOD on DL380 G6
OS is Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition with SP2 installed.
When booting to Safe Mode, it starts OK.
Just to be sure I reinstalled the OS on that machine and it seems to be working fine now.
However I did not install Kasperksy AV on it as I have read somewhere that this may cause issues.
Will keep monitoring it and see what happens next.
