BSOD-then to black
After installing windows xp home on my hp compaq n610c.....when restrting comp, the compaq splas screen showed..then the windows splash screen showed....then the BSOD,(with no error reports....just plain blue screen!). I turned off my comp....pushed f8....and ran system in safe mode. Then the same thing happened, but only, instead of the blue screen, a black screen appeared. I then tried to run my xp home to re-install program, but then it asked me if I wanted to repair windows. I pushed repair, and then it told me that it did not have enough partition, and asked me if I wanted to erase my past partition space....but also warned me that this could erase my manufacture's boot programs and files. HELP!

Re: BSOD-then to black
Hi Denise,
This forum is for ProLiant servers not laptops.
You'd be better asking your question here:

Cheers,
