BackPlane Wiring

Does any one have a digram of which cables hook where on the backplane for a 1600R server? I have a cable that looks like it hooks up into the backplane but when I hook it up, some of my lights go out on the 3200 Smart Array Card. When I unplug it, the lights all come back on but it won't boot.

Also, If I leave my 3200 Arry car in the computer it just sits there and initilizes, it never goes past that section of the POST. If I remove the card, I can get to the setup CD...Any Ideas?

Re: BackPlane Wiring

See attachment
Most confusing backplane, where you plug both cages (PCI, Dual SCSI 149046-001)
SCSI cable from 3200 routed to HDD SCSI backplane
Two connectors on the PCI, Dual SCSI Backplane not used, unless you have Tape Drive for Internal or External use.

Test SCSI on board with HDD SCSI cage see if no Problem with cabling and Cage

Test SA3200 alone without Cables connected

Test in the different slot

Verify system ROM and Firmware for SA3200

Test with SCSI Cable connected to Drive Cage from SA3200 without HDD (faulty HDD can cause lock)
