Re: Background parity initialization is 0% too low
Hi,
If you check the ADU Report, it shows that multiple drives are having issues.
You need to check the "Last Failure Reason" in the report.
According to the report, the server has Smart Array 6i in Embedded Slot with ROM Firmware Revision 2.36
The firmware for 6i which is available now is 2.84 (A)
Until the issues with other drives are not fixed, you will still be seeing "Background parity initialization is currently in progress on this logical drive".
I cannot say that all drives are bad, the issue could be with the following:
Firmware of the controller or drives.
Hard drive backplane.
Cables.
In this case, it would be better to update firmware for 6i and generate another ADU report.
Good Luck
Thank You!
