Re: Backup Hardware Error 20/40 Dat
What is the firmware revision on the tape drive ?
Have you run diags on the tape drive ?
What brand / type of types are you using ?
What controller is the tape drive attached ? what port ? are hard drives attached to same channel ?

How do I get the Firmware Rev?
How do I run Diags?
Tapes are Sony DGD150P DDS4 and FujiFilm 150M 4mm 20/40 DDS4
Drive connected to Bus 0, Target ID 6, LUN 0
No other drives - All Hard disks on Smart array 3200.

Re: Backup Hardware Error 20/40 Dat
I had a similar problem with HI DDT connected to an Adapted 2940 SCSI controller. To solve this I down loaded the driver for the SCSI adapter from Adapted and replaced the Windows 2000 SCSI driver with this one.
Good luck
