Re: Balde Power Enclosre redundancy
there is not much to tell about, four cables that you can fit only one way by shape design

Re: Balde Power Enclosre redundancy
A few other things to remember -
1) Install the 'Load Balancing Signal Cable' between the existing Power Enclosure (PE) & the new PE.
It is a 6 inch long, 3 or 4 pin black cable that links both PE's.
The connector is found on the rear of each PE, on the left hand side.
2) Connect the 'blue' RJ45 'management cable' between the existing PE & the new PE.
3) Check that both PE's are in the same power zone... there is a very small switch on the PE management module to select this.
4) Ensure that the Power & Blade Enclosure firmware is the same version on ALL enclosures - if they are not you may get strange error messages and the 'rack view' in SIM (& iLO) may not look right.
Hope this helps.

Re: Balde Power Enclosre redundancy
It's 3 pin aprox 9"
If firmware 2.30 don't worry for Power Zone as it will set all to zone 3 automatically
I would assume if it's new install lowest firmware that came with HW 2.20
In environment 2.20 and 2.30 would be fine with 3U power enclosures
If 1U used than would be recommended 2.30
