Base System device - device manager

Hi,

did anyone have this before ? I had install Windows 2003 Server on HP DL 380, in the device manager, i have this driver that is not beeing installed, dongt know why...

The driver is Base System device

What is it? Does anyone have a clue? Thxs advanced...

Is this the G4?? Have you applied the proliant support pack for 2003? If not that is the first thing i would do. Do you have a non hp hadrware device?

More often then not the base system device is an ILO. I would as the previous post suggests run a PSP on the server. If you cannot run the full PSP then you can just install the ILO drivers from the server support page.
