Battery Life on RAID Cards?

All,

I am considering various battery backed write cache RAID cards on the market. How often do these batteries need to be replaced? I have seen one mfg recommendation for every year, and had a friend tell me every 4 yrs. I know the cards monitor the battery health, but when does it warn you of a problem.

it is 3 years


it will warm you when the battery needs t be replaced sometimes updating firmware for controller will fix some ghost battery lo messages but the battery Life is expected for 3 years
