Best RAID5 Solution
Hi,
I'm after a low spec RAID5 Server to provide some small services to friends. I am on a budget so as long as the CPU and RAM are sufficient for an average speeded RAID5 that's fine.
My requirements:
-Hot swappable drives
-Hardware RAID5
-No OS required as I have Server2k3 already
Thanks,
Luke

Re: Best RAID5 Solution
Your probably looking for something like this
HP ProLiant ML310 G5 Tower Server (496042-005)
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/en/WF06b/15351-15351-241434-241646-241477-3580655-3637954-3785552.html
This is one of the lower end ProLiant servers that comes with an HP Smart Array hardware RAID controller and hot-plug drive bays.
You will want to avoid systems listed with the embedded SATA RAID controller as they are not hardware RAID.
