Bios parameters for Netware 4.11 SMP
Hello,
How to configure the bios of a Proliant ML330G2 for Netware 4.11 SMP
On my proliant ML330G2, There isn't Netware 4.11 in the list of OS.
I don't have very good performances since it use 2 processors.
Can'I choose the good parameters manually?
Do I must to downgrade this server ?
I use:
Compaq System Configuration V2.58a
Compaq Server Diagnoses V11.03a
Rompaq V D10
Thank you

Re: Bios parameters for Netware 4.11 SMP
Hi, although 4.1 is not support (you might have problem with drivers and especially with the mass storage drive) but if you want to bypass the OS selection with the assisted you can use the manual path but you have to have try loading the drive from diskette. Hope this help

Re: Bios parameters for Netware 4.11 SMP
Hello.
in fact with only 1 CPU it works fine with this bios parameter
OS Selection : Novell Netware 5.x/6
With 2 CPU it work with :
OS Selection : Novell Netware 5.x/6
MPS Table Mode : Full Table Maped
but sometime it stop booting after loading Adpt160m.ham for the second port
or somtime backupexec crash the server
Is it possible to choose optimals parameters in the bios for Netware 4.11 SMP ?
If it's possible, what are these parameters?
I migrate to Netware 6 only in december
